Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful young girl named Leyla. She lived with her parents and older sister in their home in Istanbul. As she grew older, she became more and more ambitious as well as successful and after years of hard work, she got accepted to Brandeis University on a scholarship.
Although her family was sad to see her go, they decided that the opportunity was too big to pass up and so off went the little Princess Leyla, to a faraway land called Boston. The city was different from home. For one thing, it was much COLDER in the winter and it snowed well into April. There she met all sorts of people. There were tall people, short people, black and white people, in fact, there were even green and orange people! Here everyone was free to try to find him or herself through exploring life, and to build a new life. At first, being alone took some getting used to; but once she got the hang of it, she soon became the life of the party everywhere she went.
She would go to balls at Avalon on Latin Night. She would raise the roof in Venu, Viva and all the other hip places. She would go shopping on Newburry St. or stay on campus and dance at the Pachanga, impressing everyone there with her belly dancing skills! In short, she really enjoyed her time there. Of course, while little Leyla did all these fun things, she never once forgot her responsibilities and she always put her schoolwork, friends and family first. As a result, she was both successful and immensely loved by the time she graduated with honors from this competitive school.
After graduation, the once little Princess Leyla, now all grown up, returned home to her family and back to her old life. However, something seemed to be missing but she couldn’t seem to put her finger on it. She would go out with friends, meet new people and go on dates but her old life was no longer enough for her.
Then one day, she was out with a group of friends when this guy she had recently met kissed her out of the blue! His name was Jozi. And after that kiss Leyla slowly began to realize what had been missing in her life: True Love! And soon after she realized that Jozi was her true love, her soul-mate… her other half. Her life had meaning again, and once again, Princess Leyla became her old vibrant self. She was happy and in love. Jozi on the other hand, being the smart and worldly guy he was, realized what a precious gift he had been given and without waiting too long, asked the princess to spend the rest of their lives together. The two got engaged and after almost a year of preparations (and 3 different celebrations!) the beautiful Leyla finally married Jozi on December 24th 2006. They danced and laughed, surrounded by all their friends, all night long. And at the end of the night Princess Leyla, (now a married woman) walked out of the ballroom, hand in hand with her husband and went up to their room.
Finally, all the celebrations were over and the two lovers were left alone. They looked at each other and they both knew: their love would last forever.
And they all lived happily after…
