bay city arts center
supporting creativity in Tillamook county since 2000

We are located in a beautiful old
Masonic Temple, built in 1927, and
for the last nine years, the old
    growth wooden beams and
golden fir floors have been filled
with the resonance of violins, guitars
                     singing, dancing, drumming, monks
                    chanting, children laughing, and the
               silence before heartfelt applause.

             Please consider this your Center,
and we promise to stick our necks out,
listen, respond, open our doors to
             your ideas, stay crazy, encourage
      creative expressions, support
                          community building, and help
                          keep it all alive.

  We are a non-profit 501(c)3
              membership based organization.
            Our operating funds come from
                          membership dues, fundraising dinners
                          ticket sales, art sales, pancake
                          breakfasts, grants and private
                          donations.

The Tillamook County Pioneer Museum is pleased to announce that their latest speaker in the museum’s “Great Speaker Series” will be Joe Scovell. He will be discussing “Hidden in Memories” on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at 1:00 PM at BCAC.
Mr. Scovell is the great-grandson of Chief Illga Adams and will be relating his memories of growing up in Garibaldi, Hobsonville, and Bay City. The program is free and open to the public.  There will be a light lunch of soup and breads available by donation beginning at 12:00 before the speaker.
The Great Speaker Series is funded by donations to the Pioneer Museum’s Daisy Fund and we are delighted to be partnering with this wonderful program.
For more information, contact Museum Director
Gary Albright at 503-842-4553.
