In 2003 a group of homeless New Yorkers organized a soccer team.
The goal was to make it to Graz, Austria, where an international Homeless Soccer World Cup was about to take place.

The Team tells their story.

The film was was shot, directed and edited by James Marsh (The King, Wisconsin Death Trip) and me.  Ljova Zhurbin composed the music, and Maureen Ryan produced the film.

The film aired on the BBC in Dec 2006 (great reviews -- links soon to be posted here) and was part of the IFP market in NYC in September. We’re currently trying to secure distribution in the US and other territories.
