St Mary's Crypt
St Mary’s Church in Paddington has a terrific, vaulted crypt that should cut seamlessly into our shots of Highgate Cemetery for Episode 2. But just in case the damp and the dust kick off an untimely asthma attack in the presenter, we scheduled this as my final day of filming.
It was genuinely sad to say goodbye to the team who have worked incredibly hard these past 5 weeks. Here they are, heroes one and all: Steve Hughes (Director), Jane Hughes (Producer), Louisa Spicer (First AD), Ronan Sweeney (Second AD), Mark Langton (Director of Photography), Nick Payne (Camera Assistant), Liz Gardiner (Autocue), Simon Gennard (Sound), Kendra Butlin (Runner), and numerous others who stood in at various times and sundry places.
Well, this is the final blog post for now, but I’ll keep posting photos. I’m off with Steve to the editing room for the next 8 weeks, only to emerge, blinking and pale-skinned with (God-willing) a completed Discipleship Explored DVD Series.
My fervent hope and constant prayer is that, sometime this Autumn, you’ll find a new ally in the battle to live passionately and wholeheartedly for Jesus Christ.
