News: February 2009
This month sees me concentrating on publicizing my adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera. The Facebook fan group goes from strength to strength (you can find out about it here) and there’s a brand new microsite dedicated to Phantom: www.phantomaudio.co.uk
I’m delighted to say that my Poetry Podcasts appear to be going down well, regularly appearing in the top twenty poem-related podcasts on iTunes. More will follow.
I continue to work on the Big Finish audio series of Doctor Who in various capacities. My latest directorial efforts are all for the new series of Eighth Doctor and Lucie adventures: Hothouse, The Beast of Orlok (which I also wrote) and a 2009 Christmas special. I’m casting director and line producer for the entire series, too.
Below you will find trailers for The Phantom of the Opera and for Doctor Who: The Bride of Peladon, both available from all good stockists! Both have their own Facebook groups, too, as does The Beast of Orlok. You can find them here: Phantom, Peladon and Orlok.
As ever, the pop song ‘Children of Tomorrow’ performed by Stephen Gately and Clare Buckfield (with music by Tim Sutton, lyrics by me) is currently available as a single on iTunes. Please check it out here and - if you like it - BUY IT!
Tim and I have collaborated on a second song - ‘Falling Star’ - with singer Steven Pacey, which will be available to download soon.
I’m currently engaged in pre-production on several new projects for Big Finish. More information soon...
