Goopy Goo
Here’s a great recipe for a science project!
1 cup water
1 cup white school glue
food coloring
(mix these in a bowl)
In a separate bowl mix together:
4 teaspoons Borax detergent
1 1/3 cups warm water
After these are combined in their separate bowls, pour them together. They will instantly form a solid! It’s a malleable solid that’s a better consistency than play-doh! If you don’t add food coloring - like I forgot to - it has the look of cooked egg whites. it feels cool to the touch and it’s really weird, and my kids played with it for over 30 minutes non-stop.
Keep it in a ziploc bag, and it will be good for a long time!
The folks who gave the lesson related it to God’s creative power - taking nothing and making the whole earth. The way he creates SO creatively is a sweet lesson for the kids.
