Here are the hops that I have been growing this year.
 
As you can see not only is the growth from the two Hallertaur rizomes is impressive for a first year.  Sure there are not many hop flowers but that is to be expected from a 1st year plant.  Many hop plants , including those that we planted and Brian DiGennero’s last year, do not provide any hop flowers in the 1st year.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Even better is the growth on the two Tettnag rizomes. The growth on the southern vine is not as impressive as the northern, but still quite nice for a 1st year. And it also has generated hop flowers.
