What’s NEW on Monday,11/4...The Bagan World Tour gets some coverage in the Idaho Statesman, the New York Times, and Kellogg Business School’s alumni magazine... we have settled back in to“normal” life in Boise with the girls in school and the launch of our new business - The Purse ButlerTM line of purse hangers at www.thepursebutler.com...

It’s been almost two months without anything new on our site and as the trip has been over for almost three months we likely won’t be publishing much, if anything, new to the site going forward. But we thought we’d send an update because our Journey has recently made the news, and to share how we have settled back in to “normal” life here in Boise.

First off, for your reading pleasure below are links to stories that have just appeared with a mention (NYT) and features (Idaho Statesman, Kellogg World) on our trip. Through our grapevine of friends reporters for these organizations called or emailed us out of the blue the last several weeks. It was unexpected, but welcome and fun.

The Idaho Statesman, “Around the World: The Bagan Family’s 10-month odyssey took them far and wide”, 11/5/07 - http://www.idahostatesman.com/273/story/202037.html

New York Times, “A Long Weekend? How About a Whole Year?”, 11/04/07 - http://travel.nytimes.com/2007/11/04/travel/04heads.html?ref=travel

Since our return the girls have been having a great time back at school. They have been making up for lost time with friends, having a sleep-over almost every weekend since our return. Julia even hosted the girls in her class for a “High School Musical” dance party in our garage two weekends ago - costumes, dance contests, cupcake-in-ice-cream-cone-microphones and all. We are also relieved to know that Sandy seems to have done a good job with the kids home schooling during the trip, as first quarter grades are in and both girls did great:)

For our part we have been working on developing an entrepreneurial business that Sandy can run going forward. While in Spain, we discovered an item that provided a solution to an age-old dilemma for Sandy - somewhere to put her purse when she was out at a restaurant, bar, or cafe that wasn’t the floor (where it would collect dirt and germs) or over the back of her chair (where she can’t keep an eye on it). Once Sandy had one, she couldn’t believe they weren’t all over the place back home. Our purse hangers are sold under the brand name The Purse Butler. We import them from Spain exclusively for the U.S. market. They hold over 25 lbs., but only weigh 1.3 oz. Best of all, they have medallions that feature paintings from famous artists including Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir, Klimt and Marc, and also custom designs featuring daisies, butterflies, and other geometric shapes. The Purse Butler is the perfect way to keep your purse clean, secure & off the floor. You can learn more about it, and even buy one if you are so moved, at www.thepursebutler.com. Go ahead, check it out now!

We have enjoyed keeping everyone in the loop via this space as we pursued our Dream and continued our Journey! Thanks again for coming along on the ride!
