About Me
My name is Blair Mahoney, and I’m a teacher of English and Philosophy at Melbourne High School. Originally a New Zealander, I have made Melbourne my home since 1998. That’s my wife Brigid with me in the photo above, and we have a gorgeous son called Griffin, left, whose favourite books are Finnegans Wake and Remembrance of Things Past (he’s very precocious).
I have a love of literature in general, but specific passions for experimental literature such as that featured at The Modern Word, Indian literature in English (which was the subject of both my MA and my aborted PhD), and Shakespeare.
Below is a virtual representation, thanks to the people at Shelfari, of what I have on my physical bookshelf at home, as yet incomplete while I’m still adding books.
