New YORK
New YORK
New York is one of the world’s iconic cities. These images were taken on a mostly cold and sunny weekend in late November 2007. The panoramas are from the rooftop viewing gallery at the Empire State, once again the tallest building in the city. On a day with good visibility, get there early! SoHo, and Greenwich Village are great places for just wandering about, and as ever, Chinatown makes good street photography.
The final images are of the World Trade Centre site and temporary PATH station. It only seems like yesterday that awful morning dawned, but its already more than 6 years. Its a sobering place to visit and a time to reflect.
NOTE: The images from Greenwich Village onwards (except Chinatown) are taken with the new Olympus E3, the earlier ones with an E410.
