A great aroma for your home. Decorate a Christmas tree, fill a small bowl, put in drawers, gifts for friends.


RECIPE for Applesauce Pomanders

Materials:

Floral wire or paper clips for hook

Whole Cloves, 1 per pomander

Applesauce

Ground mix of:

CINNAMON

CLOVES

NUTMEG  


INSTRUCTIONS

  1. 1.Bend a small hook on the end of the wire.  The hook will be inserted into the top of the wet pomander.                  

  2. 2.Combine the dry ground spices in bowl.  Mix in a small amount of applesauce until the mixture will hold together in a small ball.

  3. 3.Shape like an apple or pear.  Insert the wire hook in the top as far as the middle.  Reshape if necessary. 

  4. 4.Insert the whole clove into the bottom.

  5. 5.Set aside to dry in a warm place or at the lowest temperature in the oven.

  6. 6.Decorate with ribbon or beads when dry.  You can vary the decorations so be creative!


REMEMBER!!  It doesn’t taste as good as it smells and they are unsafe for children to have because they have wires inside.
