Daylilies Carlotta and Chance Encounter are registered daylilies.  The remaining daylilies are from my hybridizing program  .Daylilies produce flowers that last one day.  They have several buds per stem, or scape.  It is possible for one plant to bloom for 3 or more weeks.  As the plant multiplies you will have full clumps of blooms.  The field of flowers (above) are on second year plants and as the result you can see a mass of color.

It is quite easy to grow daylilies, however all plants have needs and daylilies need to be divided every 3 years and they need fertilizing and watering during long dry spells.  Plant them in a location receiving 6 hours of sun a day.  Failure to follow the above instructions will result in weak growth and reduced flowers.  As you can see there are possibilities for a large variety of forms and color patterns.  Warning: addictive!!
