Andrei Zakow
is an artist, filmmaker and musician, born and raised in New York City. He has been working as a Director of Photography, Editor and Sound Tech since graduating from the School of Visual Arts, NYC. in 2001.
He has shot, edited and produced documentaries on such issues as wounded veterans, healthcare, voter education and land use. He has worked for television shooting and editing segments for NYC TV and producing commercials and promos for local businesses in the tri-state area.
Andrei has documented fashion and runway shows and has provided promotional video materials for designers. He has exhibited his video work in galleries from New York City to Canada and abroad, having the privilege of collaborating with many talented artists to produce video installations and illustrative companion pieces.
Recently, Andrei has returned from a tour in Eastern Europe documenting a group of performance artists for the IMAF 2006 performance art festival based in Serbia as well as having been invited as a visiting artist at the Minimum Party art camp in the mountains of Transylvania.
