ANASTASIA S. WEIGLE holds a Master’s in Library and Information Science in Archives Management from Simmons College (Boston, MA) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Natural Science Illustration (Minor in Museum Studies) from SUNY Empire State College (Rochester, NY).  As adjunct faculty for the University of Maine at Augusta since 2000, she teaches “Archives Management”, “Library Preservation” and “Basic Web Design” for UMA’s Library and Information Services program. Anastasia is also an independent consultant offering various archive practices in the Library and Museum setting processing and organizing historical collection. Anastasia also offers a variety of workshops in both the archival and art field such as emergency preparedness plans, processing historical collection, basic materials repair, bookbinding and conservation techniques.

   In 2001, Anastasia opened “In A Bind” Studio where she focuses on her art and bookbinding services and continues to offer a variety of book art workshops.
