The T34 Karmann Ghias were a very unique and rare time in the VW history.  Not many of the coupes were manufactured and they were not imported to the U.S.  So, to find unmolested and rust-free examples is becoming extremely difficult.

This particular model was originally owned by a family in Arizona who brought the car to the U.S. when it was new.   In 2003, they sold it to a collector in San Diego.  The car was repainted its original color sometime in the 1980’s.  The number of original parts is truly amazing as well as the level of preservation.

After evaluation by one of the leading experts on T34 Ghias, here were some of his comments:

“It's a beautiful & rare vintage Volkswagen, one of the rarest models they ever made.  Your 1967 is perhaps the nicest 1967 on the North American continent and perhaps in the Top Five nicest in the world.”

He goes on to comment:

"Amazingly preserved 2-owner VW.  This is one of the nicest unmolested 1967 T34s in the world. Excellent mechanical condition that can be driven anywhere with speed & comfort…

…This is one of those time-capsule cars that has not been modified or restored. It starts immediately, runs smoothly in all gears, has loads of power, has responsive brakes, and is quietest T34 I've ever driven. It's got all the unique 1967 parts, has immaculate original hounds tooth seat upholstery, uncracked dash pads, excellent wood grain dash material, and excellent chrome bumpers & aluminum window trims. Doors & hoods open & close smoothly. It's one of those T34s that will only appreciate over time and one that can be enjoyed by anyone with little maintenance…”

Besides all the keys and books, the vehicle comes with its VW certificate of authenticity.
