Choreographers Statement

As a choreographer my interest lies in investigating the minutiae of bodily discourse, and and distilling my discoveries into potent, and communicative performance experiences.
Dance is a language which relies on our bodily lived truths as the basis for its ability to communicate.
The experience of dance articulates the bodies many ‘unsayable’ mysteries, placing them in a dialectic.
In making dances, I am seeking the specificity of language, from the body. Through cultivating movement based explorations, I am seeking dance language that encompasses both the over-determined body, and the body reconfigured into new shapes and expressions. I am seeking the intelligence, and the intricacies of my own body language. There is much to be explored . . .
