In January 2008, I was invited to interview at Gemini Observatory in La Serena, Chile for a position as a Gemini Fellow. I eagerly traveled down to Chile where I met up with my host, former graduate colleague, and friend James. Besides giving my first colloquium style talk and being interviewed by a 6 member panel, I visited the summit with James where I had my first view of the Gemini South 8-meter telescope. In all, it was an amazing visit. I was honored to have the opportunity to interview.
