The voice of an Angel... a chain-smoking-whisky-drinking Angel! Not knowing he had that voice in him, Derrick was discovered by Armin, while the two were singing along to a Led Zeppelin CD. Armin noticed that it wasn’t he who was sounding so good, but rather Derrick. After inviting Derrick to sing at their next gig, it was established he would be the perfect singer for Wild Fire. Alas, Derrick had to leave Aruba and during 10 years would only be back for vacations. Now finally, he is able to join Wild Fire’s line-up and the circle is complete. With a vocal range that is between “bloody murder” and “the sky is falling”, Derrick is indeed the force that sets Wild Fire apart.
