Supreme Practices: Tucker Ellis & West
Why can’t more firms be like this? From the TE&W page that addresses rejection of the billable hour:
Our associates have embraced this change. At a surprise party they threw for the partners on our first anniversary, (talk about something different for a law firm!) they issued a tongue-in-cheek list of demands. Item Number One: "We insist that the Firm reinstate the billable hour requirement as the sole measure of an associate's worth as a human being. We are sick and tired of being judged on character, professionalism, skill and dedication to clients and the Firm."
