“Blame”, from the CD, “Mean World Syndrome” was by far my favorite track on the record. I was big into “Kings X” while writing the music for this song and it you can hear it on other tracks from the CD as well. The lyrical inspiration for this song came from what I call, “Dumb White Guy Advertising”. When you need someone to look inept in a commercial, it’s almost always a 30 something white guy who is being made the fool by his wife, kids or whomever. I used to keep a tally of how many DWG ads there were and then I realized that doing so just made me one of the Dumb White Guys! The crazy noises at the end of the track are Rob and me throwing percussion instruments into a brick wall at 2 am in the morning at Avalon Studios in Douglaston, NY. I used a Hamer Guitar in drop “D” tuning through a Rivera amp in stereo with a Marshall Artist. Thanks for visiting my Podcast page!
