Thanks to everyone who contributed time and resources to this project, it should vastly improve the quality of the ride for those who don’t know the ins and outs of the trail system.

The Greenwood Mnt. Bikers ride and help maintain the Long Cane Horse Trail in Sumter National Forest. The trail head is located between Hwy 10 and Hwy 72 at the intersection of FS 505/506. A Tuesday night group ride meets at 6PM, all skill levels are welcome. Please stay OFF the trails if they are WET. If your tires are leaving tracks or there is standing water on the trail you are not supposed to be there. There are plenty of gravel road routes that you can use to get a ride in if you discover that the trail is too wet to ride. The USFS has closed the trail in the past due to wet conditions and abuse. Let's do our part to avoid a Closure On Demand
