In March of 09 I made the decision to leave the Swingin’ Medallion as a full time band member. It has been a wonderful experience to have been part of such a great tradition. I have met so many great people and traveled to places I would have otherwise never been. I will miss the big stages and the camaraderie  the most. I am excited for Justin as I could not think of a more talented and deserving person to pass the torch to after almost 10 years as a Medallion. I am eager to spend more time at home as my kids are at the very demanding ages of 7 (Ashby Jr.) and 4 (Morgan). I would like to thank the entire McElrath family for inviting me into the band back in 1999, you guys brought me home and for that I am so very thankful! Thanks to all the Medallion Fans, you are all wonderful people, it has been my honor to know you all. Most importantly I would like to thank my wife (Cat) for being so supportive. You have had the difficult task of keeping the kids while I was working, the toughest and most important job of all. I hope to be on stage with the guys as often as possible in the near future. I will always treasure my time with the Party Band Of The South....Ashby Stokes
