Nature is more than just a background to the world in which we live. We tend to separate our inner reality from our outer, but just as between the two spheres of the brain there is the corpus callosum, the rainbow bridge, so there is a place where dreams and reality fuse.

Our minds ‘talk’ to us incessantly, we need to strive to listen to what is going on beneath the never-ending chat.

In the silence there is another voice.

We are nature, we are wilderness,

we are: sourceless, goalless, pathless, abodeless.

Welcome to a collection of imagery & thought

Ash is the name I have used to sign my paintings and poems since I was a teenager. It is a way of separating the person who inhabits the daily world of work and physical commitments (the personality) from the dream seer, the dream wanderer, the peaceful warrior.

Welcome to my dreamworld; hope you enjoy the voyage.
