On the first leg of our trip we enjoyed visits with Dan’s sister Carol and his old friends Anne and Wayne Hardy, who were babysitting 4 kids from the Coeur D’Alene reservation while their parents helped their grandfather move to a new home.To break up the trip across the country we stopped at the Little Bighorn National Monument, Wall Drug and Badlands National Park.
In Toledo we stayed out on the highway at a truckers’ motel.
