We departed Orlando, Florida at 11:23 PM on Saturday 21 April. In Detroit, our first stop, we met other members of our team and at 5:45 PM boarded an overnight flight to Amsterdam, Holland. Arriving there at 7:35 AM Sunday we changed planes again for Nairobi, Kenya. Two eight hour flights seemed a bit better than one 15 hour flight to Hong Kong last year! Arriving in Nairobi, we were met by one of our van drivers, Mark, and sped off to dinner and much needed rest at our hotel, The Fairview.
