Personal History: Thanksgiving at Laney's
Laney D kindly invited Sherman and me to Thanksgiving dinner! I got to meet her husband Tom, their dog Pesky (who was very territorial with Sherman), Oscar (who works with Tom at Crunch, the gym, on Van Ness), Laney’s sister and her partner, Gina (also works with Tom), Brian T. (whom of course I work with), and his friend Ellen, who also lives in Oakland.
Here are a few snapshots.
Sherman (el blindo) seems to be slowly adapting to not seeing---though I am still hoping that on our visit to the vet Saturday he will say that we can get the cataract surgery. He actually did well at Laney and Tom’s, after he got over Pesky pestering him. He sort of sniffed around the whole apartment, but also spent a lot of time next to me (or on my lap). On our way out we saw a little girl Sherman dog, same color and everything, But she was very barky and even snapped at him! Poor guy.
