When Brandon Nahigian offered to do his Eagle Scout project at the garden we were not quite sure what that would mean. With the help of Marco Barrantes and his crew, troop 21 removed soil from the parkway to create a pipeless irrigation system for the magnolia trees and used the soil to retain water near plants and trees. They filled the parkway with bolders, rock,  gravel, sand and mulch, creating wells for the trees and a system to keep water from going into the street.
