Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald

A robust porter from Great Lakes Brewing, Cleveland Ohio.  This beer is a dark brown, cola-colored porter with a firm tan head.  The aroma is of malt, faintly hoppy, with chocolate roastiness throughout.  It's creamy smooth with a strong, full flavor of toasty malt with a touch of burnt chocolate, toffee, and a tiny hint of butterscotch.  Bitterness is moderate, but not out of balance, and the finish is a delightfully leafy hops.  An excellent porter.

5.8%abv, IBU's=37, serve at 45-50°F
