Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold

A Dortmunder-style lager from Great Lakes Brewing, Cleveland Ohio.   This smooth lager strikes a delicate balance between malt and hops in the aroma, palate, finish and body. It has more body and less hops than a Pilsner, and less malt and more hops than a Munich style lager.  Because neither malt nor hops dominate this beer, it complements most foods, especially salads, fish and chicken.  

5.8%abv, IBU's=30, serve at 40-45°F

What's a Dortmunder? During the mid-19th century, seven breweries within the city of Dortmund, Germany began brewing beers in the same manner, resulting in what has come to be known as the "Dortmunder" style.
