Great Lakes Blackout Stout

 
 

An Imperial Stout from Great Lakes, Cleveland Ohio.  Jet black, it pours out oily and thick.  The head is a deep tan, nice and dense, that lasts and lasts.  Thick, heavy body, with pronounced roasted malts.  Sweet and toasty, and the hops are perfectly matched to the beer: not sharply bitter, just enough to combat the full malt texture.  Excellent imperial stout.

9%abv, IBU's=85, seasonal, serve at 50-55°F
