Founder’s Red’s Rye

An amber ale from Founders Brewing, Grand Rapids Michigan.  Gorgeous deep ruby red color, short-lived dense pinkish head that laced the glass nicely.  The aroma is good and flowery, not overwhelming.  The flavor....oh the flavor.  Sharp bitterness, with the rye accentuation the hops, followed quickly by more hops on the flavor.  The finish is tasty & aromatic, but the strength of this beer is the top end.  Sharp bitterness chased quickly by bitter/flavor hops.  Excellent beer. 

6.8%abv, IBU's=60, serve at 42°F
