Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA
An American Double IPA from Dogfish Head Brewing, Delaware. Basically, this beer is radical in the strictest sense of the word. It's surprisingly pale colored, with low carbonation and a winey aroma. It's very sweet (no doubt because it's got enough malt in each bottle to constitute a full case of Bud Light.) The tall hops battle throughout the beer for balance with the malts; a tricky prospect indeed for such a giant beer. I would classify this beer as a super hoppy barleywine fused with an IPA. Crazy. Drinking a whole 12oz is like scaling a mountain. Bon voyage.
