An English Strong Ale from Young’s Brewing, London, England.  While not as popular and well-known as some of Britain’s other big beers, Youngs brews some truly high quality traditional British-style ales. 

The Special London Ale is a malty, rich, relatively strong beer, with perfectly balanced hops throughout the flavor.  Assertive bitter hops up front, enough to dry out the beer and balance out the caramelly sweet malts, wonderfully subtle flavor hops through the middle and a light floral touch at the back end.  Very solid beer, highly recommended.

6.4%abv, bottle conditioned, serve at 45-50°F
