Bells Kalamazoo Stout
A stout from Comstock, Michigan. Dark, dark brown/red to black, with burgundy hues at the corners. Brown head, fades to lace. It’s a sweet stout, with chocolate and a roasted character as well, with just a hint of vanilla. The coffee flavors are not so pronounced, but they come through in the finish and linger a bit. Mouthfeel is rich and smooth, with a lingering chalkiness. Great big complex stout, deep enough to ponder, yet accessible enough to pound. Delicious.
