El SOUL is the Latin side of " DW3 ", it's traditional and contemporary Latin music combined with all the soul and musicianship of DW3. Imagine these elements along with a powerful female voice (Betsy Villasenor ) and you have the fabulous Latin soul sound of the band "EL SOUL". EL SOUL was formed in 2001 when Disney executives asked DW3 if they could perform a whole night of Latin music for their summer attraction "Mickey's Mambo Club". Dw3 being of Latin decent, knew that this would be an easy request, since they already had a Latin repertoire. The one main element that was missing was an outstanding female presence. This energetic powerful singer is Betsy Villasenor. After performing all summer long at Disneyland, El Soul expanded throughout the LA and Orange County area. They began to perform at places like The LA County Fair, Downtown Disney, Latin Festivals, Copacabana, and local clubs. EL SOUL'S repertoire consists of Celia Cruz, Gloria Estefan, Marc Anthony, Poncho Sanchez, Selena, Santana, Mana, Tito Puente and all of DW3's best.
