The story of Sheepfold Stables
The story starts with a country-raised, hunter-trained young rider who left for the big city to study and never looked back until 18 years later. 4 days after she moved in to her dream farm, she met her dairy farm-raised, future life partner, who dreamed of raising dairy sheep for cheesemaking.
Together they embarked on the difficult journey of starting a farm business in the years 2000.

We breed and raise sport horses and dairy sheep.
Our broodmares are registered and approved by the Canadian Trakehner Horse Society (CTHS) or the American Trakehner Association (ATA) and the stallions are carefully chosen to complement each mare in conformation and pedigree, towards a hunter/jumper field/foxhunting or eventing orientation.
Our fifth broodmare is an unregistered percheron / hanoverian cross with many a jumper qualities, we breed to proven jumper hanoverian bloodlines.
Our herd of dairy sheep consists of East Friesians, Icelandics, British Milk Sheep and Lacaune breeds, that we cross one year and purebreed on alternate years.
Our goal is to raise athletic upper level riding prospects and produce and sell 5000 kg of cheese every year.
We are located in the High Laurentians, 2 hours north of Ottawa, Canada and 1hour 1/2 northwest of Tremblant Ski Resort, Quebec.
