It may seem as though the most important part of planning a painting has to do with the process of deciding what to paint. That may be true for many artists but I find that the thrill of the paint on paper sometimes leads me in different directions, and then , I follow along. Frequently I will combine pastel with my watercolours in a search for the perfect mixed media. That search continues.
