A closer view

We have seen it all before. Or have we?

When an artist begins to paint, she truly has to look at the subject. And I am always surprised at what I find. What I have never noticed before. Tomatoes are more than just shiny and red. There are freckles and scars. Stems are furry. The shadows have colors within them. And sometimes the paint itself evolves into the subject.

My paintings reflect that adventure in “seeing anew”.

These works are all one-of-a-kind originals painted with high-quality artist’s oils, acrylics, egg tempera and watercolor on canvas or 100% rag paper.  The description is under each entry. Every attempt is made to scan for accurate color.
