Suspense novels and children’s books, speaking to smart teens and 20-somethings--these are the tools of Anne’s trade: Words--both written and spoken.
Her topics include child soldiers, aids survival, sustaining the writing life--write here, write now, and the power of story. She also gives writing workshops for beginners to advanced, including how to weave more suspense into your fiction, and writing from the heart.
Since 1987 she has traveled extensively in Eastern Europe, including Bosnia, and throughout most of sub-Saharan Africa plus Liberia, researching stories about children in places of conflict. She collects quotes from children all over the world who are seeking hope after being traumatized by war.
A graduate of Stanford University, she has lived in Ireland and The Netherlands for more than 25 years. She is a member of the British Society of Authors in London and the Rotary Club Westland-Polanen in The Netherlands.
