Following the breach of containment earlier this week, the slime mould's assimilation of the matter around it has been relentless. The library is now in danger!

Following its escape into the library, the slime mold was eventually retrieved from a copy of an old school bible that happened to be there and placed back into confinement.

Back in containment the slime mold now seems to be expressing itself in ways that it hadn't before its escape.  It seems to be assessing the information it had inadvertently been exposed to and responding by reorganising itself into new forms. The library owner is what Dawkins would call a "temporary agnostic" so this is probably just coincidence. The story continues further here.
