INTUITIVE PAINTING CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

- In as few as two lessons first-time painters can create beautiful paintings that they will be proud to display.
- Skilled artists can release blocks and reach beyond their eyes into their inner vision and discover a new way of creating.
- Artist quality supplies are provided, students do not need to purchase anything.
- Class size is kept small to ensure personal interaction.

CREATIVE GOALS
Creativity should be a surprise. If you already know what you are going to express there is less room for new experience. When you reach a space in a painting where you feel blocked, relax, keep painting; it will become what it wants, when it wants. Feeling lost when you begin a painting is good. Become familiar with being lost; this is the way we find new and exciting things that we never thought possible. These “difficult” areas often become our most beautiful expressions. As in life, difficult moments are often followed by an opening, an understanding, an opportunity for growth.

• Each student is encouraged to reach their inner vision and to allow their feelings to be expressed in their art.

• The emphasis is on learning to paint from your heart and soul, a healing process to assist you in gaining inner strength and inner vision.

• There is no attempt to conform your painting to any other artist thus there is no competition or criticism, only positive assistance in bringing out a desired effect.

• Depending on ability, students will learn to prepare their paper or canvas and learn techniques for applying acrylic paint to give different effects.

It is very exciting to learn to allow images to grow from the paint on the canvas.
The results can be unique and always surprising.

DAILY CLASSES - Two-hour classes, Monday to Saturday from 10 till noon - $30

Don’t be intimidated, remember: NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

The drawing workshop is all about understanding and learning the BASICS of drawing. So many times when we need to draw something we don’t know where to start because we don’t understand the fundamentals. Often, even experienced artists lack this knowledge.

I can tell you how great the workshop will be but thought it might be more effective to let you read the comments from those that have already taken the class:
- What a fabulous workshop. You have such a wonderful way of compressing your many years of experience into practical and easy-to-understand concepts.
- Class was awesome, inspiring, I thoroughly enjoyed the class! It was great getting the theory and the practical basics of drawing. Really helped demystify it and made it not so scary - thank you!! I liked the exercises and will be sketching when I can! In fact, there's one continuous line drawing i did that I'm pretty pleased with and may make it into something more... - I can only imagine how much work you put in to doing this workshop. You covered a lot of material and supported each idea with visuals in the book as well as demonstrations on the board and even hands on activities (looking at the elipses) .
- There was an abundance of material but I personally found it all very useful. I can take what I need and practice. I especially liked the fact that you broke down the body into individual pieces so that once I figure out how to draw it proportionally I can then add the details using the information presented elsewhere in the book ie. eyes, hands etc. I feel better prepared to work a little more independently as now I have something to refer to.
