ANIMAL BEHAVIOR FIELD STUDY Troop 1615 In this photo, the female wolf is looking curiously at the humans. The wolf in this photo is standing and staring at something in the distance. In this photo, the wolf is standing in a corner, sniffing the air. Red wolves are very interesting animals. Their diet consists of small mammals, large mammals, and insects. They are endangered in the state of North Carolina, but are coming back. The reason they are called red wolves is because they they have more red in color than any other species of wolves. Wolves are relatives of dogs, and they are both canines.
