ANIMAL BEHAVIOR FIELD STUDY Carrboro
Virginia,is a black bear, likes to groom herself and lay in the sun. She likes to walk around.
The bears did not fight. They were separate. Virginia was on the cliff. Gus was in a little cave.
The bears started looking for food and water. Gus was licking a damp rock and sniffing a log. They didn’t eat any food. The bears were sleeping on the top rock so that when they wake up they can see top to bottom. The bears might have been resting on top rocks because it was probably really warm and she probably felt comfortable. Gus and Virginia like to walk a lot. It’s most common for bears to walk with their left paws at the same time and then do the same with their right. The bears sniffed things before they ate or drank.
