Words, Signs & Vibes is the only Integrated Deaf & Hearing Youth Theatre in the UK! Sessions are run in Birmingham and we work with Young People from across Birmingham, Solihull and the Black Country & currently have about 15 regular members to our Youth Theatre aged 13 - 18 years old, all a mixture of Deaf, HOH (Hard of Hearing) and Hearing young people. W,S&V’s has been running for about 7 years, aiming to break down the barriers between the Deaf & hearing communities. All young people, volunteers & staff are a mixture of Deaf/Hearing people. The group regularly put on performances that are accessible to both Deaf & Hearing audiences and have won an Award for ‘Outstanding Achievements’.  We aim to put on at least 2 performances a year to the public, at christmas & in the summer. 
(We use both sign language and spoken English)

Saturday sessions include: ☆ Warm up games/exercises (All games & exercises are adapted & accessible to the group)
 ☆ Rehearsing towards the performances ☆ Sign song ☆ In addition to the regular weekly sessions we often have guest artists come to lead sessions to give the group new experiences and skills 
☆ Most importantly...Have FUN!!! Saturday session’s are lead by co-working Deaf & Hearing leaders, providing a positive role model for the young people.  The Youth Theatre is lead by the Young people
 The young people decide what projects they want to do, they decide the theme of their performance. Young people are also on the committee and represent the group views when making decisions. 
 Location
 Due to our group being the only Integrated Youth Theatre in the UK, young people travel from all over Birmingham & surrounding areas to attend our Youth Theatre but also places as far as Tamworth, Crewe, Derby & Chesterfield to attend our weekly Youth Theatre. We have a regular team of Volunteers and we are always looking for new Volunteers either CSW’s (Communication Support Workers) or Drama leaders.
