Okay, so check this out. I was invited to a presentation that Current TV Chairman, Al Gore was giving in the LA studio.  I have to admit that I had no idea what I was in for, because I thought it was a small presentation about global warming.  But after a very thorough slide show of what is going on with our planet today, I realized that I was just another person turning a “blind eye” to a HUGE problem. The only way that we are going to save ourselves from self-destructing is to take a look at  the “Inconvenient Truth”.  

 

 

I used the carbon calculator and I came up with 26,000 lbs of carbon dioxide! Yikes! The avg. person emits 15,000 lbs.  I love my SUV but I’m really truly looking into hybrids.  I will just have to suck it up and use a soft rack to go surf.  Time to get a Toyota Prius. Or move out of LA.  Or be one of those crazy people that WALK down the street. Which by the way, I do try to do, or bike around Santa Monica.

 

“The Inconvenient Truth” premiered at Sundance and will be distributed in theaters around May.  Former VP Gore, or should I say, Mr. Chairman, will be promoting his documentary and speaking around the globe on this issue.

 

I’m really excited to see this documentary. First, because I love a good doc, but preserving what God gave us to enjoy and take care of is not an option, but its a responsibility.
