Speaking at the Empower Change Summit for
American Democracy Institute

In November of last year, I was asked to be a New Media Panelist for the Empower Change Summit put on by American Democracy Institute. Hundreds of young people showed up at the UCLA Campus, and Pres. Bill Clinton was the keynote speaker!

In the picture above, Roy Sekoff, Founding Editor of the Huffington Post and I discuss open source development and how the digital media platform is changing the way we receive information.

Recently, in Feb 2008 I had the pleasure of being invited to and ADI Leadership Forum where some of the nation’s top young leaders and activists in various fields from academia, business, government, non-profit, and media gathered at the Google Campus.  I was also asked to introduce the keynote speaker Mitch Kapor, creator of Lotus, Second Life, and one of the guys behind the Mozilla Foundation. Basically this dude IS the Silicon Valley Elite.

ADI is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization comprised of a network of young leaders and activists from various fields including business, academia, nonprofit, government and more. We strive to expand this network by educating and engaging young people to become more aware of the issues and ideas that affect their lives.

Below are some photos of the event!
