New Tutorials Soon:
I know, I know. It's been literally months since I last updated this site. In my defense, I've been extremely busy. First, I had a lot more work come my way, so my free time has been limited. Also, I've been dealing with technical issues surrounding part 2 of my Cityscape tutorial. Finally, as I was working on Cityscape pt. 2, Apple came out with the new FCS and Motion 4.
So, I'm sorry it's taken so long, but I'm putting the finishing touches on Cityscape Pt. 2 which will be posted soon. I've also got several new tutorials that I'll be showing off using Motion 4.
Motion Quick Tip:
Adjust 3D Transform Tool (Q): This shortcut allows you to position layers and rotate them in 3D space without the need of the inspector. It activates colored cursors: red for X, green for Y, and Blue for Z. When you select and drag one of those cursors, it constrains the movement to that particular axis. Open the HUD (F7) to change the orientation of the tool from local (XYZ of the layer), to global (XYZ of the project).

(in the image above, the blue Z position cursor appears yellow because it is selected)
Final Cut Pro 7 Quick Tip:
NEW in FCS - Colored Markers: Now you can have different colored markers in your timeline and they even ripple with your sequence. The "M" shortcut will apply red markers, but there is a shortcut for each color. Hold the OPTION and SHIFT keys down when hitting 1-8 on the keyboard to apply a different colored marker.
