World premiere for Smuin Ballet, Palace of Fine Arts

Choreographer in Residence for this amazing company, Seiwert will be creating a world premiere to the Kronos Quartet’s critically acclaimed “Pieces of Africa”.   Also on the program - Michael Smuin’s classic “Medea” and “Fly me to the Moon”, set to the recordings of Frank Sinatra.

im’ij-re in the Left Coast Leaning Festival, YB Forum

Curated by Marc Bamuthi Joseph, Youth Speaks’ Living Word Project and YBCA present a revolutionary three-day festival celebrating West Coast dance, theater and music. Curated by Marc Bamuthi Joseph, Left Coast Leaning positions the west coast, long celebrated as the progressive edge of the country, as the emerging center of a changing world. Each evening features a different line-up of urban-based movement, storytelling and music, showcasing performances and collaborations by some of the west coast’s most influential artists.  im’ij-re is honored to be able to present a world premiere as part of this three day event.
