Part shade; moist, well drained, slightly acidic soil; profuse, deep pink trumpet-shaped blossoms on thin green stalks; the leaves have a light green spring tenderness about them; plant 6”-12” tall; blooms April-June; zones 3-9. W. Va. ecotype.
