Delphinium exaltatum / tall larkspur

Beautiful blue to lavender flowers on a tall spike.  Light shade to full sun; rich, neutral well-drained soil this wonderful plant has leaves cleft into 3-5 lobes, and spikes of 1” blue to purple spurred flowers; likes rocky limestone soil in the wild, but seems to do fine in average garden conditions- provided it is well drained; 2’-4’; July-Sept.; zones 5-8; PA, and OH ecotypes.
